pFuneral services for Eleanor M. Havens, age 89 of Ogdensburg will be held at 10:00am on Monday (June 6, 2016) at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Nichols officiating. Burial will follow the service at the White Church Cemetery in Lisbon. /ppCalling hours will be held on Sunday from 12:00 – 4:00pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Havens passed away on Tuesday (May 31, 2016) at the Tidelands Health Center in South Carolina./ppSurviving is her son Christopher (Leota) Havens of Ogdensburg; a daughter Cheryl Rolfe of Ogdensburg; grandchildren Derrek & Anthony Adams, Trevor, Randy & Chad Rolfe, Christopher & Nathan Havens; great-grandchildren Jadyn & Avery Rolfe; a sister Sylvia “Ann” McCarthy of Ogdensburg; step-sisters Amy Erwin of Ogdensburg, Beverly Derosiers of Ogdensburg & Joan Riley of New Jersey; along with many nieces, nephews & cousins./ppShe was predeceased by her husband Oris; a step-daughter Linda Adams; two sisters Una Moore & Virginia Binion; step-sister Rita Hess; three brothers Donald, Howard & Norman Martin; step-brother George Burns and a grandson Cornell Adams./ppEleanor was born on April 24, 1927 in Lisbon NY, a daughter of the late Alton & Iva (Lockwood) Martin. She graduated from Lisbon High School and later married Oris Havens on June 3, 1947 at her parent’s home with Rev. Nevin officiating the marriage. She worked as an attendant and pharmacy tech at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center for 37 years. /ppShe was a member of the “Nimble Thimbles” Quilting Guild in Canton, the Claxton Hepburn Ladies Auxiliary, CSEA and the OES Chapter # 71. She enjoyed going to the casino, traveling, quilting, reading, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren./ppMemorial contributions can be made to the Richard E.
