pAfter a long illness, Catherine Grotke, 91, daughter of the late Albert and Vera Goutremout Bush, New Bremen, died peacefully at her home in Pennsylvania, on Saturday, April 23, with her son Kurt and Hospice at her side. She was born June 26, 1924, in the Town of New Bremen and graduated in 1940 from Beaver River Central School and was a veteran nurse of World War II. After the war, she married Gordon Grotke and the couple eventually moved to Murrysville, Pennsylvania where they lived until her husband’s death. She worked as a nurse for various doctors and hospitals in the area and after retirement she was a volunteer nurse for several organizations. She is survived by her son Kurt, three brothers, Richard (Linda) Bush, New Bremen, Albert L. Bush, Boonville, and Gary (Linda) Bush, New Bremen and two sisters-in-laws Elizabeth Bush, New Bremen, Isabel Bush, Soft Maple and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Catherine is pre-deceased by her parents Albert and Vera Goutremount Bush, her husband Gordon, her daughter Gretchen, her twin brother Francis and his wife Teresa, and her brothers Charles and James./ppThere were no calling hours or funeral services./p
