pJessica Lynn Ciarfella, 31, of Redwood, NY died unexpectedly on July 11, 2016 while visiting her grandmother in Chesapeake, VA. She passed peacfully and was surrounded by loved ones. Jessica was born to Anthony Ciarfella and Kim Marie Ciarfella on Thursday, June 13, 1985 in Poughkeepsie, NY who both survive her. In addition to her parents she is survived by three sisters, Toni, Victoria, and Angelina Ciarfella and her grandmothers Joan Ciarfella and MaryAnn Agne. Her partner of ten years, Shawn Laning, and her young son, Blake Laning, also survive her, along with a nephew, Ryan Young. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends also survive her. Jessica is predeceased by three grandfathers James “Pinky” Ciarfella, James Agne, and Charles Hiesel. She is also predeceased by her aunt, Kim Ciarfella. /ppJessica’s latest employer was Edgewood Resort where she worked as a front desk clerk. Jessica was taken from us much too soon but will always be remembered for her beautiful green eyes, infectious smile, and adventurous personality. Jessica was kind-hearted, generous, spontaeous, and an all around joy to spend time with. She had a passion for music and travel. Concerts and road trips were a couple of her favorite things, along with making memories with her sweet son, which will be forever cherished. /ppJessica graduated from Lafargeville High School in 2003 where she was a member of the cheer-leading squad and had many amazing friends. Jessica was eager to further her career and was enrolled at SUNY Jefferson before her passing. Jessica was known for her strength and bold personality; her calm demeanor and willingness to be a fighter when necessary made her respected by many. /ppWhen you think of Jessica please remember her bright, quirky sense of humor, love of adventure, and dedication to her family. Celebrate her in your memories, for she will never be forgotten. You are loved and will be missed more than you will ever know sweet Jessica. /ppThere will be a memorial mass in honor of Jessica at Saint Cyril Catholic Church in Alexandria Bay, NY on Saturday, July 23, 2016. The church is located at 28 Walton St., Alexandria Bay, NY, 13607. The mass be will be held at 10 o’clock AM. Immediately following the mass there will be a gathering for family and friends in the downstairs reception area of the church. In lieu of flowers, please consider the needs of the family. /p
