pCOPENHAGEN – Albert Shatraw, 49, died early Tuesday morning, July 19, 2016 at the Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown./ppBorn in Watertown on October 12, 1966, the son of Albert & Barbara Keeler Shatraw, he obtained his GED from Copenhagen Central School. He went on to serve with the United States Navy from 1985 – 1991; he then with the Naval Reserves for a few years. He was employed in South Carolina and New York as a meat cutter; locally for Ron’s Big M in Philadelphia, NY. A marriage to Patti Mizell ended in divorce./ppHe is survived by his mother, Barabara Shatraw, Copenhagen, his daughter, Danielle Adkins, South Carolina and his sisters; Julie Harris, Copenhagen, Josephine Atchley, South Carolina and Judy Aldous, Colton. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren; Hunter and Cadence Adkins, several nieces, nephews and his faithful hound, “Chomper”./ppA graveside committal service will be held on Sunday, July 24th at 2:00 PM at the Hillside Cemetery, Champion, with the Rev. Canon Samuel P. Lundy officiating. There will be no public calling hours.
