pGraveside memorial service for Michael F. Wheeler, 59, formerly of Potsdam, will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at 1:30 PM at the West Potsdam Cemetery, with Pastor Michael Terrell, officiating. Michael passed away on June 5, 2016 after a courageous and hard fought battle with cancer. /ppMichael was born, May 15, 1957 in Potsdam, the son of the late Lyle F. and Carol F. (Laramay) Wheeler. He graduated from Potsdam High School in 1975 and went on to graduate from Paul Smith’s College with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management and from RIT with a degree in Business Management. Michael was also a certified financial planner. At the time of his death, Michael was an accountant for Storm Water Management./ppMichael is also a lifetime member of Delta Sigma Pi. He enjoyed making investments, watching the stock market and cooking. /ppMichael is survived by a brother, John L. Wheeler and wife Grace of Potsdam and by a sister, Jill Wheeler-Neverette of Central Square.
