pJane T. VanBrocklin, 86, formerly of Crossmon St., Alexandria Bay, passed away Friday morning at Carthage Area Hospital SNF where she had been a resident since May 2013./ppJane was born June 22, 1930, in Alexandria Bay, to Leon and Kathleen Parker Taylor. She graduated from Alexandria Bay High School. She married Clark VanBrocklin in Chickopee, MA, on September 2nd, 1954. He passed away on June 10th, 2001. /ppJane worked as a Medical Records Clerk at E.J. Noble/River Hospital for 16 years, retiring in 2005. She was active in St. Cyril’s Alter & Rosary Society./ppJane is survived by her sons, James R. VanBrocklin and Marcus L. VanBrocklin, both of Redwood, NY; daughters Mrs. Jay (Phyllis) Gascon, Redwood, NY, and Mrs. Michael (Peggy) Obst, Alamo, TX; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, William Taylor, Redwood, and Thomas Taylor, Alexandria Bay. She is predeceased by a granddaughter, Sarah Burgoon, and two sisters, Mrs. Gordon (Marion) Aznoe and Mary Ellen Weston./ppCalling hours will be held at Costello Funeral Home, Alexandria Bay, on Monday, August 1st from 7-9 pm. A funeral mass will be on Tuesday at 11:00 am at St. Cyril’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Barnes Settlement Cemetery.
