pHenderson Harbor- The funeral mass for Martin T. Mitchell will be 11 am Monday, August 8th at St. Andrews Catholic Church, Sackets Harbor, with Rev. Michael Gaffney officiating. Calling hours are Sunday, August 7th from 4 pm – 8 pm at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville./ppMr. Mitchell, 63, of Rt 3 Henderson Harbor, passed away Tuesday unexpectedly./ppHe is survived by two sons, Martin T., Jr. (Christine), Pawley’s Island, SC and Mathieu Mitchell, Adams Center; a daughter Michele (David) Warner, Richland; a granddaughter Maiah and a grandson Jaxon; a sister Julie Mitchell, Felts Mills; his companion Dianna Busler, Henderson Harbor; a niece Lauren Mitchell, a niece Melissa Villeneuve and a nephew Michael Villeneuve as well as many other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Terri, his parents and a sister Sandra Mitchell Plaster./ppMarty married Terri Lutz April 25th, 1981 at St. Michael’s Church, Central Square. Terri passed away January 2, 2010 at the age of 56./ppMarty was born in Lowville, November 21, 1952, a son to Norman and Dolores Segovis Mitchell. He graduated from Carthage Central School. Marty was a professional chef and had worked at the Partridge Berry Inn, the Holiday Inn, and Southwick Station to name a few. He and his wife Terri owned and operated the Lookout Tower Restaurant on Rt. 3 in Henderson Harbor for many years. Marty retired from Syracuse Sheet Metal Co., Inc. as a fabricator./ppHe was a member of the Henderson Fish and Game Club as well as the Henderson Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed many outdoor activities to include, boating, fishing, and hunting.
