pThe funeral service for BernaDene Lane will be 11 am Wednesday, August 17th at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville with Rev. Laurel Barber officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Town of Henderson. Calling hours are Tuesday, August 16th from 4 pm – 7 pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Jana L. Boulton Scholarship c/o Sackets Harbor Central School, Broad St. Sackets Harbor, NY 13685 or to the Diabetes Association./ppMrs. Lane, 87, of Harborview Dr., Henderson, died August 12th following a brief illness./ppShe is survived by a son Marvin H. (Linda) Lane, Pulaski; two daughters Gayle Boulton-Benjamin, Sackets Harbor; Janice (Frederick) Maier, Cuyahoga Falls, OH; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; a brother Ira “Ike” (Candi) Balch, Waterloo; several nieces and nephews; three brothers-in-law Chyme (Torre) Lane and Donald (Marcia) Nolder, all of Henderson; Edward Nolder of Florida./ppShe was predeceased by two grandchildren, J.J. Lane at age 7 and Jana Boulton at age 23; three brothers Bernard, Volney and Danny Balch./ppBernaDene was born in Mannsville February 28, 1929 a daughter to Manfred and Marion Brown Balch. She married Howard W. Lane January 19, 1947. Mr. and Mrs. Lane owned and operated a dairy farm on the Smith Road from 1947 until Mr. Lanes passing on January 18, 1997. During those years, Mrs. Lane was a bank teller at Marine Midland Bank in Adams for several years./ppBernaDene was a 62 year member of the Henderson and Belleville Eudora Chapters of the Order of the Eastern Star.
