pLOWVILLE - Raymond H. Kennison, 89, formerly of James Street died early Wednesday morning, August 17, 2016 at Lewis County Residential Health Care Facility./ppMr. Kennison was born June 3, 1927 in Troy, Vermont. He is the son of the late Clifton and Florence E. (Hackett) Kennison. Ray graduated from Newport Center High School in 1946. He married Lois E. Kennison on January 10, 1953 at Congregational Church in Worcester, MA. Lois died on November 18, 1999. /ppHe served in the U.S. Army stateside from 1950 until 1952 when he was honorably discharged. Ray worked for Kraft Foods in Troy, Vermont and transferred to the Canton, NY plant and later came to work at the plant in Lowville as a cheese maker retiring in 1987 after nearly 40 years of employment. /ppRay enjoyed cars and airplanes, and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church Lowville./ppRaymond is survived by his two children, his daughter Gail and Richard Brower of Lowville; and his son; Steven and Tricia Kennison of Lowville; four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and a brother, Roger Kennison of Troy, VT. /ppHe is predeceased by his brother, Clifton Kennison, Jr./ppA graveside service with military rites will be on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Lowville Rural Cemetery with Rev.
