pNORWOOD- Elizabeth T. Bancroft, 95, formerly of State Route 56, peacefully passed away Saturday night, August 27, 2016 at United Helpers Maplewood Campus, Canton./ppElizabeth was born July 29, 1921 in Crary Mills, daughter of the late Charles and Ethel Gibson Thurston. She graduated from Canton Normal School and on August 18, 1946 she married Harland H. Bancroft, who predeceased her on January 5, 2002./ppElizabeth was a member of the Norwood United Methodist Church, and the Women’s Society of Christian Service. She also was a very active member of the Historical Society. She took great pride in taking care of her home and family. She cherished the years spent at camp with her husband and family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren./ppShe is survived by her children, Donna and Roger Beaulieu of Norwood; and Bruce and Susan Bancroft of Chateauguay Lake; Sally Bancroft and her companion Mike Miller, of Syracuse; and Gary and Susie Bancroft of Norwood; nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren./ppBesides her husband Harland, she was predeceased by her sister and brother in law, Anna Mae and Arnold Bancroft./ppThere will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at the Crary Mills Cemetery on Thursday at 1:00 PM with Jane Peacock officiating./ppMemorial donations may be made in Elizabeth’s memory to the Crary Mills Cemetery Association./ppArrangements are with the Donaldson-Seymour Funeral Home, where memories and condolences may be shared online at www.donaldsonfh.con./p
