pTHERESA- Roger A. McConnell, 76, formerly of Theresa died Monday morning, August 29, 2016 at the Lewis County Residential Health Care Facility in Lowville where he has resided for the last few years. Prior to that he lived in Natural Bridge, NY./ppBorn May 2, 1940 in Natural Bridge, he was the son of the late Norman and the late June Tousley McConnell. The family moved to the Theresa area in 1941 due to the expansion of Pine Camp. He was educated in local schools./ppMr. McConnell was employed with various farms in the area and for Don Hoover Construction Company, and he also traveled with various fairs for a time./ppHe was a member of the Natural Bridge Fire Department Fire Police and an avid BINGO player./ppSurvivors include a son, Roger of Dexter;a daughter, Rebecca of Watertown; a sister and her husband, Barbara and Leon Davis, Alexandria Bay; two brothers and their wives, Harley and Sandra and Maurice and Nancy all of Theresa; numerous nieces and nephews./ppA sister, Mary Taney and a brother, Archie died before him./ppA service at Sand Hill Cemetery in Natural Bridge will be at a later date./ppArrangements are with Frederick Bros.
