pRodman- Mari Ellen Ryan, from Rodman and formerly of Camillus, transcended and evolved to the Great Source on Friday, September 16th, 2016 from ovarian cancer./ppShe was born to Donald and Frances Fish, of Rodman, on July 15, 1956, the 4th child and eldest girl of the family. She graduated from South Jefferson High School in 1974 and later attended several colleges earning degrees in Human Services, Graphic Arts and Photography. Mari Ellen also earned multiple certifications in Apple Computer hardware and software as well as Microsoft software. She worked at many types of jobs throughout her life but was most proud of and happiest as a Teacher. She last taught Workforce Development Technology at the Watertown ATTAIN Lab (SUNY Research Foundation) since 2010 and greatly loved and valued her students./ppMari Ellen lived for people. She is survived by her best friend of 30 years, Diane K. Savage, her daughter Amy, Seattle, her brother Gary Fish, Rodman and many important and loved friends who made her life worth living. She was pre-deceased by her parents, her favorite Aunt, Ida Fish and her beloved rescue dogs, Alex and Rudy. She loved animals of any kind but particularly dogs./ppMari Ellen loved art in any form, creative writing, collecting Brownie cameras, old marbles and classic TV shows from the 50’s and 60’s. /ppThere will be no funeral or calling hours.
