pStephanie Jean Cota Towers went to be with our Lord on August 9th, 2016 at her home in Cortland, NY. Stephanie was born November 30th, 1974 to her loving mother Clarajean Lane Snyder and her father David N. Cota. Stephanie graduated from Homer Central High School in 1993, married Peter Furness and their son Jonathan Peter Furness was born later that year. She was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis Type 2 the following year when she began having excruciating headaches and four brain tumors were discovered. Though she struggled with this disease, she never gave up the fight. She had a beautiful spirit and loved everyone, but especially those who were also disabled. Stephanie was divorced and remarried to Jack D. Towers, and was separated. Stephanie lived in the Cortland area all her adult life. Stephanie loved making and giving crafts as gifts, coloring, collecting porcelain dolls (over 200), lady bugs, and unicorns. Her greatest love and signature was Tweety Bird. Everyone who knew and loved her called her Tweety. Surviving Stephanie in addition to her mother, father, beloved son, and estranged husband are her loving brothers, Adam R. Snyder and James R. Cota, step-mother Ruth Bagley, sisters Sandi Cota (Don) Parks and Mary Cota (Charlie) Jeffery, step-children Nelson Towers, Victoria Towers (Zach) Woodman, Rachael Towers, and MaryBeth Towers Clark, grandchildren Stephen and Avielle Towers, Michael Marks, and Hanna Clark, grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. A Celebration of Life was held at the Church of Christ, Watertown on August 15th, 2016 with Joseph LaClair officiating. Arrangements were made with the Riccardi Funeral Home, Cortland./p
