pCANTON – William G. “Billy” Voss, 64, of 1700 County Route 25, formerly of Flat Rock Road, West Potsdam, unexpectedly passed away Sunday morning, September 25, 2016 at his home./ppBilly was born March 15, 1952 in Potsdam, the son of the late George and Esther Mott Voss. He was a 1970 graduate of Potsdam High School and attended Canton ATC. /ppBilly worked for a time at Radio Shack in Potsdam and Great American Food Stores in Potsdam and Malone. He later worked for Dr. Cynthia Swingle at the St. Lawrence Valley Veterinarian Clinic in Massena as an assistant technician. He enjoyed hunting, feeding the birds, gardening, and flower planting – especially his sunflowers. More recently, he enjoyed making cooking for his friends and neighbors. /ppBilly is survived by his loving companion, Christine Woodcock of Canton and their beloved cat, Abby; his daughter, Heather Voss Smith of Kentucky; his grandchildren, Hunter and Jacob; nieces and nephews; and his dear friends, Ron, Dale, Rusty, and George./ppIn addition to his parents, Billy was predeceased by his sister, Frances Ann Brownell Moline in 2008./ppFriends may call Thursday 4-7:00 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, where funeral services will be held Friday 11:00 AM with Lay Pastoral Assistant Martha Helmer, officiating.
