pPHILADELPHIA- Barbara J. (Watson) Mosher, 91, died Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Hospice of Jefferson County at Ellis Farm, Watertown, NY with her family by her side./ppBorn on June 24, 1925 in Evans Mills, NY, she was a daughter of Harold F. and Mary L. (Halstead) Watson. She graduated from Evans Mills High School in 1942 and was a member of the Cadet Nurse Corp at Plattsburgh State College./ppBarbara married Francis E. Mosher on September 19, 1945 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Philadelphia, NY, with Rev. K.J. Dewey, Pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Evans Mills, NY and Rev. B.A. O’Connell, Pastor of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, officiating./ppShe was a member of the Philadelphia Community Band, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in which she was the organist and choir director for many years and was active in the North Country Children’s Clinic./ppBarbara loved being with her family, music, painting and reading./ppSurvivors include six children and their spouses, David and Georgia Mosher, Cuttingsville, VT, Eugene and Barbara Mosher, Eugene, OR, Mary and Thomas Dillenback, Fishers Landing, NY, Karen and Glenn Solomon, Marlborough, MA, Kate and Mike Wanerka, Ballston Spa, NY and Paul and Alex Mosher, Herndon, VA; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Marva Watson and a lifelong friend, Lucina M. Drake, Henderson, NY./ppShe was predeceased by her husband Francis in 1995, her parents and four brothers, John, Donald, Ronald and Frederick Watson./ppBarbara’s family wishes to sincerely thank the staff at Hospice of Jefferson County at Ellis Farm, who truly understand the gift of giving of oneself for others./ppA Mass of the Christian Burial will be 11 am Saturday, October 22, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Philadelphia, NY with Rev. Christopher Looby, officiating. Immediately following will be a reception at the Philadelphia Fire Hall, 1 Antwerp Street. Private burial will be in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery, Antwerp, NY./ppIn lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial contribution to be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Philadelphia, NY and sent to 8408 South Main Street, Evans Mills, NY 13637 or to the Hospice of Jefferson County, 1398 Gotham Street, Watertown, NY 13601./ppCondolences may be made online at www.frederickbrosfuneralhome.com./p
