pWatertown- William A. Horne , age 94, 170 Conger Ave., died at the Samaritan Medical Center on Tuesday, October 4 where he had been admitted on September 27. William was born on May 13, 1922 in Cape Vincent, the son of Allen B. Horne and Winfred Warren. /ppHis parents had a farm on Carleton Island and eventually purchased a farm on the Fox Creek Road in 1940. William took over operation of the farm until selling it in 2009. He moved to St. Anthony Apartments at that time. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Church and a Third Degree Member of Rosiere Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his cousin, James Warren, Vernon./ppHe will be missed by his many friends at St. Anthony Apartments and also the staff and waitresses at Cracker Barrel where he often dined./ppThe funeral service will be Thursday, October 6 at 12 noon at the Reed and Benoit Funeral Home, State Street with the Rev. Donald A. Robinson officiating. A wake will be held starting at 11am until the time of the Service.
