pBarbara S. Helmer 62, longtime resident of Redding, California passed away unexpectedly on July 21st, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center in Redding. She was born August 12th 1953 in Watertown the daughter of Ernest and Joyce Helmer. Barbara was raised in Watertown and a proud graduate of Watertown High School class of 1971. She was a kind, giving and caring person. While living in Redding she had taken a number of college and continuing education classes. Barbara wil be deeply missed by her family. Barbara was predeceased by her father Ernest L. Helmer and her sister Deborah L. Stafford. She is survived by her mother Joyce B. Helmer her sister Shelia Helmer of Watertown and her sister Vivica (Ed) Bidwell of Liverpool, NY. Funeral services were handled by Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Palo Cedro, California. She was laid to rest at Mt. Shasta Memorial cemetery in Mt. Shasta California./p
