pWaddington- Rose (Torrieri) Raftovich, 80, died in her home in Mount Joy,Pa on August 31,2016. Rose lived on Clinton Street in Waddington from November 2002 until August 2013./ppShe was born on November 25th, 1935 in Philadelphia PA to the late Anna and Luigi Torrieri and was the youngest of seven children. She worked at Woolworth and then at Westinghouse in Philadelphia, PA where she met her husband of 41 years. They were married in May of 1958. Rose’s great love was her family. She was always ready to help out taking care of her children, her grandchildren, and the sick and elderly over the years. She never refused a call for help. She was active in the community as a Girl Scout leader, a Cub Scout leader, a 4-H leader, a Religious Education teacher and a hospice volunteer. While living in Waddington, she was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Ladies of Waddington daily exercise group at the American Legion, and she regularly volunteered at the Waddington Neighborhood Center./ppRose is survived by her daughter Mary (Mark) Brady, of Waddington, NY, and sons Joseph, Ohio, Robert (Elizabeth), Maryland, 16 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, a sister Mary T. Coccoli of Drexel Hill, PA as well as numerous nieces and nephews./ppShe was predeceased by her husband Robert V. Raftovich, a niece Rebekah Anna Raftovich and daughter Christina Raftovich Beaudoin./ppA memorial service will be held on October 22nd at 11/ppam at St Mary’s Church, Oak Street Waddington,NY with a reception following the service./p
