pNEWTON FALLS – Michael “Mike” A. Farnsworth, also known as “Farnsy” and “Kenny”, age 47, of Newton Falls, passed away in a motor vehicle accident on October 15, 2016./ppCalling hours will be held at French Family Funeral Home in Star Lake on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m./ppMike was born on November 15, 1968 in Saranac Lake to the late Earl and Edith (Kennedy) Farnsworth. He graduated from the Tupper Lake High School./ppMike married Shelly Christian on September 1, 2001 in Newton Falls. He has worked for the Town of Clifton Highway Department for the past 8 years as a mechanic and loader operator./ppIn his free time, Mike enjoyed boating, hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling and camping. He was a hardworking man who loved hanging out with his family./ppHis survivors include his wife, Shelly; five children, Natasha “Pumpkin” Farnsworth, Chelsea Johnson, Kendra Johnson, Devin Johnson, and Chase “Bub” Farnsworth; twelve siblings, Mitch and Carl Farnsworth, Betty and Wayne Wilson, Sally and Dave White, Lucy and Bob West, Lillian and Terry Hoyt, Tina and Doug Provost, Mary Farnsworth, Barbara and Dan Lashua, Marlene and Ron Kerr, Donna and Gene Harmon, and Marilyn and Glenn Tellier./ppHe is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Lydia, Cambree and Briann; 33 nieces and nephews; a great-nephew, Mason; his parents-on-law, Robert and Darlene Christian and their children, Bobbie and Darren Whitmarsh and Joseph and Bianca Christian./ppMike is predeceased by his parents and a brother, Baby Earl./ppDonations in memory of Mike may be made to the Star Lake Fire and Rescue, PO Box 22, Star Lake NY 13690.
