pWATERTOWN- John A. Granger Sr., 76, of 649 Flower Street died on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at home under the care of his family and Hospice of Jefferson County. He was born on April 9, 1940 in Watertown, New York to Kenneth W. and Theresa Gilligan Granger. He attended school in Watertown. He worked for the family business, Granger Paving doing black top./ppHe married Elaine Frezzo on March 4, 1988 in Watertown. He is survived by his wife, Elaine, Watertown; and several children, Debbie & William Gaudette, John Kadrmas and his companion Shirley Luis, Kenneth & Michelle Kadrmas, Mike Granger and his companion Tammy Monica, Amy Wills, Shane Granger, K.C. & Tracy Granger, and three step-children, Scot Thyer & his companion Jessie Rabetoy, John Jobson IV, and David & Dawn Jobson. He is also survived by several siblings, Kenneth Ronald & Margaret (Peggy) Granger, Watertown; Starr & Chuck Brennan, Watertown, Dick & Fran Granger, Ohio. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren./ppHe is predeceased by a son, John A. Granger, brother, Terry & his wife Nancy Granger; Sister, Pat and her husband Harry Martin; two brothers, Bill & Eugene (Sonny) Granger./ppHe loved gambling and the casino; he enjoyed his bulldozer and his dogs./ppThere will be no calling hours, a private graveside service will be held in the North Watertown Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 4-8pm, at the American Legion Post #61 Sterling Street in Watertown, NY 13601. Donations in his memory can be made to Hospice of Jefferson County. /ppArrangements are being handled by the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., located at 500 State Street in Carthage.
