Cecilia Browning (Camer) Goodwin

pCecilia Browning (Camer) Goodwin, 89, of Suwanee, GA, and formerly of Watertown, passed away peacefully in her home Monday morning, October 24, 2016. span class="apple-converted-space" /span/ppShe was born November 17th, 1926 in Toronto, Canada, to the late Edward and Sarah (Murray) Camer./ppShe married Roy Charles Goodwin on March 1stspan class="apple-converted-space" /span1953 in Rochester, New York. /ppCecilia is predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Roy Charles Goodwin; three children, John Paul Goodwin, Roy Cole Goodwin and Heather Elizabeth Goodwin and her only sister, Nancy Murray (Camer) Stapley.span class="apple-converted-space" /span/ppSurvived by her son, Dr. R. Clark (Mary) Goodwin of Fayetteville, NY; her daughter, Valerie Goodwin (Robert) Dirksen of Suwanee, GA; her daughter-in law, Barbara Wilde Goodwin of Upper Marlboro, Maryland;  four grandchildren, Sarah and Catherine Dirksen, and Andrew and David Goodwin. Two adopted grandsons, Stanley Cayo and Patrick Caporal; a nephew, Keith Barkley of Rochester, and several cousins./ppCecilia worked at the Imperial Bank of Canada, before moving to New York in 1951.  She accepted a position with the Executive Offices of Kodak Park, in Rochester. She worked there until 1954, when she elected to stay home and start a family.  With college bound children, she returned to work for the US Government, Department of the Army at Fort Drum and West Germany.   While living in Germany, she enjoyed traveling throughout Europe./ppWhat Cecilia loved most, was enjoying time with her family, listening to classical music, drinking a hot cup of Red Rose Tea, and engaging in spirited conversations.  She was the most incredible, kind, positive, inviting, hospitable and loving person.  You could not leave her without knowing how much she loved you.  She will be forever in our hearts and souls, and her spirit will live on through all of us. /ppServices were privately conducted at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Geneva with a private burial in Glenwood Cemetery.
