pEleanor Mildred Kelly, 89, passed away peacefully at The Country Manor Nursing & Rehab Centre in Carthage, NY on November 10, 2016. Calling hours are 2pm-4pm, Thursday, November 17, at Cleveland Funeral Home in Watertown. /ppShe was born on August 15, 1927 in Mt. Vernon, NY to Arthur Zimmermann and Mildred Norden. Eleanor graduated Davis High School in 1944. She married Raymond V. Kelly on April 3, 1948 at St. Ursula Church in Mt Vernon, NY. Raymond died January 11, 1987. /ppEleanor is survived by 5 of her 6 children, James Kelly, Adrienne (& Jeffery) Rule, Raymond (& Sherry) Kelly Jr., George Kelly, Loretta (& John) Messano. A daughter, Kelly “Ellen” Raison died February 25, 2006. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. /ppBefore retiring, she worked as a bookkeeper, secretary & switchboard operator. She moved from her longtime home in Yonkers, NY to Syracuse, NY in 1994 where she lived until 2015. She was active in the Onondaga Senior Center serving as treasurer and participating in activities and bridge games as often as she could.
