pLinda A. Saiff, 76, of Haley St., and wife of Robert L. Saiff, passed away Friday November 18th at her home under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County./ppThe Funeral Service and Eucharist will be 11 am Tuesday, November 22nd at Trinity Episcopal Church, Sherman St., with The Rev. Dr. Richard Laribee officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery. Calling hours are 4-7:00pm Monday, November 21st at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, State St./ppShe is survived by her husband, Robert; two sons Robert Jr. (Rebecca), Sodus Point, NY and Richard S., Morrisville, NC; two grandchild*ren, Allison, Martha’s Vineyard, Mass. and Patrick, Sodus Point, NY; her step-mother Avis Erwin, Watertown; two step-brothers Joel (Danielle) Bartlett, Watertown; David (Robin) Bartlett, Adams; step-nieces and nephews./ppLinda was born in Ogdensburg, November 8th, 1940, daughter of Richard and Bethany Locke Erwin. She graduated from Watertown High School and received her Bachelor’s degree in teaching from Potsdam College. Following her education, Linda taught elementary school at Boon St. School, in Watertown, until she resigned to stay home and raise her children. She later returned to teaching as a substitute teacher until her retirement. Linda owned and operated her stained glass business called “The Glass Lass.” She provided instruction in stained glass at BOCES’ adult education program and provided supplies to stained glass enthusiasts through her business./ppLinda was a member and registrar for the Daughters of the Revolution (DAR) and a member of the Ladies of the War of 1812. /ppIn lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County, 1398 Gotham St., Watertown, NY 13601 or a charity of one’s choosing./ppCondolences may be made online at www.reedbenoit.com/p
