pMASSENA – Mrs. Dorothy J. Eros, 82, passed away early Tuesday morning, February 16, 2016 at Massena Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past month./ppDorothy was born September 9, 1933, the daughter of the late George J. and Eva E. Martin Wilkins and attended schools in Massena. On June 2, 1952, she married Michael Eros in Saratoga Spring; he predeceased her on July 21, 1991./ppDorothy once worked at Warner Brother Corset Factory and later was a clerk at Alkie’s Liquor Store, which was owned by her brother, Leonard. She enjoyed cooking, her animals and visiting with her family and friends./ppShe is survived by her son, Kevin of Massena; her sisters, Donalda Sedlock of Massena and Katheryn and Joe Toth of Franklin, Michigan; her brothers, Dennis and Alma Wilkins; and William “Wally” Wilkins, all of Port Charlotte, Florida; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved pets, Shiloh the beagle and Peanut the cat. /ppIn addition to her parents and her husband, Dorothy was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Clough and a brother, Leonard “Alkie” Wilkins./ppAt her request, there will be no calling hours.
