pBradley C. Eggleston, 75, died Thursday, November 24, 2016, at Samaritan Medical Center surrounded by his loving family./ppArrangements have been entrusted to North Country Cremation Service, owned and operated by Cleveland Funeral Home, Inc., Watertown./ppHe was born on September 16, 1941, the son of Edward and Veronica Martin Eggleston. He attended Immaculate Heart Academy and continued his education with a Masters Degree from Siena College. He was married to Carolyn E. Bezy in 1962. He was married to Ruth Brierton in September 1986, she passed away on February 6th, 2000./ppMr. Eggleston was an Economics/Psychology teacher at Watertown High School from 1968 to his retirement in January 2001. While teaching he also held the job of New York State Park Policeman for over 20 years, retiring in 2003./ppMr. Eggleston was the youngest recipient of the Eagle Scout Award in NYS, B.S.A., St. Patrick’s Troop, Watertown, NY./ppHe was president of the WEA for several years while teaching. He also enjoyed membership with the US Power Squadron./ppMr. Eggleston loved hunting with his lifelong teacher friends, could frequently be found on golf course after retirement, and spent many hours boating on the St. Lawrence. He also found countless years of joy with his Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Roy./ppMr. Eggleston is survived by four children; Philip Eggleston, Copenhagen, Ellen (Alan) Majka, Belchertown, MA, Catherine (Gregory) Jock, Watertown, and Michael and Liane Eggleston, Potsdam; a brother Lee (Mary) Eggleston; eight Grandchildren; Three Great Grandchildren, and several Nieces and Nephews./ppBesides his parents, his wife Ruth Eggleston and his sister, Ann Windheuser died before him./ppA graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 3rd, at 1:00 pm, In Glenwood Cemetery, Watertown./ppDonations may be given in his memory to Hospice of Jefferson County who in the past have been a great help to his family.
