Russell - John Daniel Wolfe, 62, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Van Duyn Home in Syracuse.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 4th at 12:00 noon at the Hermon Cemetery with Charles Colton of the Russell Holy Pilgrimage Church officiating. Arrangements are with the Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur.
Dan was born in Canton on May 28, 1954, the son of John Albert and Betty Davis Wolfe.
He attended Knox Memorial School and attended BOCES for electrical training.
Dan married Pamela S. Colton, and the couple has resided many years in Russell where they raised a family and Dan worked as a rural mail carrier for 35 years.
Dan enjoyed watching shows on and studying history, collected rocks, stamps, and coins, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Pam, his children Scott of Russell, Daniel of Russell, Sherry and Brad Cordwell of Madrid, Kristine and Elmer Phillips of Colton, and his 7 grandchildren. Dan is predeceased by his parents and 2 grandchildren.
