pWEST CARTHAGE – Laurie Vassar, 43, 24 Champion St., died Monday morning, February 29th at the Carthage Area Hospital after being stricken at home./ppBorn on January 13, 1973, the daughter of Benjamin and Gertrude Howard Vassar, she attended Carthage schools. She is a former employee of the Dollar Depot, Carthage and JRC, Watertown. She was a very active member of the Carthage Area Rescue Squad Auxiliary. /ppShe is survived by many friends, as well as her brothers; Roger, Chip, Raymond and John Green. /ppCalling hours will be held on Friday, March 4th, 2016 from 12 – 2 PM at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage.
