Clarence L. Burnham

Funeral service for Clarence Lloyd Burnham, 64, of Kendrew Corners, will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11:00am at the Kendrew Methodist Church with Pastor Tom Nichols and Missionary Ron Stiles officiating. Burial will be in the Kendrew Cemetery. Clarence passed away peacefully, while in the company of family on Friday, March 17, 2017 at the Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the O’Leary Funeral Home, Canton. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Heuvelton or Renssalear Falls Volunteer Fire Departments.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Bridget Ritchie of Kendrew Corners; by a son, Reginald John Burnham and companion Sandy of Rochester; a daughter, Lindsay Marie Caudle and husband Phillip of Rochester; eight grandchildren, Isabelle and James Burnham and Mia, Quinn, Meadow, Lilly, Layla and Phillip Caudle; by step-children, James, John, Ellen, Kelly and Jennifer Green and step-grandchildren, Nevelle Murray and Cove Sequin. Also surviving are three brothers, Michael and Jeanne Burnham of Auburn; Dan and Terri Burnham of GA and Brad and Shelly Burnham of DeKalb Jct; five sisters; Carolyn and Al Nye of FL; Joyce and Harry Moulton of Renssalear Falls; Linda and George Baldwin of FL; Rhonda and John Hall of Lockport and Cindy and Joe Zollo of FL; and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Burnham of GA.

Clarence is predeceased by his parents and by two brothers, Lloyd and Larry Burnham.

Clarence was born, April 16, 1952 in Gouverneur, the son of Carleton and Lois (Disharm) Burnham. He graduated from Heuvelton Central School in 1970 and from Potsdam State in 1974 with a teaching degree, focus on history. Before becoming employed as a teacher, Clarence found a love of carpentry and began working construction with Ryan Homes out of Rochester. Clarence retired in 2007 after 28 years with the company.

Clarence enjoyed farming and was a member of the Kendrew Grange and Kendrew Methodist Church. He loved being a husband, father, grandfather and friend to everyone.
