Richard C. Frederick, 84 passed away at the Samaritan Medical Center, Saturday, March 18th where he had been a patient since March 13th.
Calling hours will be held at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, 632 State St., Watertown on Friday, March 24th from 6-8 pm. There will be no scheduled memorial service at this time.
Born in Watertown January 13, 1933 he was a son to Gordon and Marion Frederick. Richard married Esther I. Fulkerson on May 15, 1955. They operated the family farm on Sulpher Springs Road, Watertown for 40 years where they milked 400 Holstein dairy cows. In 1994 he sold the family farm and moved to Fuller Road, Adams Center. Following his retirement Richard did custom crop work and worked for Robbins Farms also cropping. He also plowed snow for Frederick Construction at the Salmon Run Mall for the next 23 years.
Surviving besides his wife, Esther are 2 sons, David and Sally, Adams Center; Donald and Kristine, Adams Center; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one sister Joan Smith, Watertown; brother in law, Richard and Clara Fulkerson, cousin Howard Frederick and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents, his daughter, Debroah (LaMark) Frederick, his brother, Gordon Frederick Jr., sister and brother in law, Shirley and Ralph Carrier, grandson, Larry Plummer, nephews Ricky Fulkerson and James Carrier.
A spring burial will be held at a later date and time to be announced.
