Diana M. Sacco, 76, 727 Holcomb Street, passed away April 2, 2017, at the Samaritan Medical Center.
Diana was born May 25, 1940, in Earlville, NY, daughter of Robert and Phyllis Blanchard Preston. She graduated from Earlville High School and IBM School of Commerce, Utica, N.Y.
On January 31, 1959 she married Daniel L. Sacco at St. Mary’s Church in Hamilton, NY. The couple lived in several areas of the state and were finally transferred to Watertown, N.Y., by the New York State Police.
Diana is survived by her husband Daniel, two sons, Daniel Jr. and his wife Shana, Golden, CO, Scott and his partner Angela Spano Watertown NY, a daughter, Lori McDevitt Watertown, NY, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter Terri and a brother William R Preston.
Diana was a health aid at Sherman Street School and owned and operated D’s Antiques, was a realtor for Timmerman Reality, then Coldwell Banker until her retirement in 2014. During her employment as a realtor, she received many awards for excellence, including the prestigious “tri-county Realtor of the Year.”
Diana was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church, a member of the St. Patrick’s Church Altar Rosary Society and was a member of the Antique Dealers Association.
She loved gardening, working with antiques, fishing with her husband and children above all else.
Calling hours will be Sunday, April 9, 2017, from 2-5 pm at the D.L. Calarco Funeral Home, Inc. A funeral mass will be held at 10 am Monday, April 10, 2017 at St. Patrick’s Church with Msgr.
