Vickie L. (Habeeb) Kehne, 69, of NYS Rt. 37, Evans Mills, passed April 1, 2017 at her home where she was under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County.
Born on May 12, 1947 in Watertown, NY, daughter of Victor and Lillian Habeeb, she graduated from WHS in 1966.
She went to work at the Samaritan Medical Center and retired in 2007 following 38 years as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
She married Gary L. Kehne on May 31, 1980 at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Watertown. The couple resided in Watertown and moved to Evans Mills in 1983.
Mr. Kehne retired from the US Armed Forces in 1982 and in 2000 retired as Director of Environmental and Regulatory Affairs from Samaritan Medical Center and Facility’s.
Vickie was a member of the Watertown Elks Lodge #496 and enjoyed volunteering at the lodge, she was former president of the Red Hat Society, member of the Trinity Episcopal Church women’s group and knitting prayer shawl group and a member of the Safari Club International Sables Organization.
Among her survivors are her husband; Gary L. Kehne, Evans Mills; a sister and brother in law, Gloria H. and Dale W. Gardner, Canton and Port Orange, FL; two brothers and two sisters in law Nicholas C. and Susan Habeeb, Phoenix, AZ, Peter G. and Michelle Rupp, Landsdale, PA; several nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins.
Calling hours will be held 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, May 12 at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home.
A Memorial Service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 13 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Watertown.
