The funeral for Doreen R. Collins will be 11:00am Friday, April 21st the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Watertown. Burial will follow the service in Brookside Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home Thursday, April 20th from 3 - 6:00pm.
Doreen passed away April 12th at the Utica Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility. She was 68 years old.
Born in Watertown March 26, 1949 she was a daughter to Everett A. and Ruth I. (McDermott) Chisamore. She received her high school diploma, and went on to graduate from Jefferson Community College with an associates degree in accounting. She worked for 37 years as a supervisor at Jefferson County Department of Social Services until her retirement in 2010.
She enjoyed shopping, traveling, and going to the casino.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Nora Chisamore, of Clayton; 2 sisters and their spouses, Judith (Roger) Hudziak, Watertown, Laurel (Wayne) Wilcox, Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Doreen is predeceased by her daughter, Courtney R. Hanson.
