Waterloo: Ira (Ike) Balch, 79, died Wed., 4/26/17.

Donation to either the Alzheimer’s Association, Att:Development Office,

435 E. Henrietta Rd, Rochester, NY 14620 or Waterloo Methodist Church, 21 E. William St., Waterloo, NY 13165.

Calling hours, Tues., 5/2, 6 – 8pm at the Mull Funeral Home, 113 Virginia St., Waterloo.A military service will take place at 8pm immediately following calling hours at the Funeral Home. A memorial

service will be Wed., 5/3, at 4:00 PM the Methodist Church.

Ike was born on 5/6/37 in Mannsville, NY the son of the late Manfred and Marion (Brown) Balch.Ike served in the Army 1954 – 1958 earning the rank of E4.He was a truck driver with Stott & Davis Motor Express for many years. Ike was a member of Teamsters Local #317 and the Methodist Church, Waterloo.

Ike is survived by his wife Candace (Hogan) Balch; sons Allen (Zaida) & Christopher (Marcia) Balch; a daughter-in-law Rebecca Balch; grandchildren, Damien (Jasmine) and Desmond Lawton, Meghan, Tianna, Adriana & Sarah Balch; great-granddaughters Sophia Shaffer & Evie Lawton; sisters-in-law, Jean McFate, Penny (Ed) Nail & Dawn (Dave) Rocktaschel; several nieces, nephews & cousins.

Ike is preceded in death by his sister Bernadene Lane and brothers Bernard, Volney & Danny.
