RUSSELL - Alexis S. Thomas, a Russell native, of Charlestown, NH passed away on March 27, 2017 at the age of 96.
A memorial service and reception will be held at the Russell Methodist Church in at Russell, New York on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 2 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Hermon Cemetery. Alexis was born in Russell, NY in 1921 and married to Reverend Charles C. Thomas in 1944. The couple raised 3 wonderful daughters together and ministered to countless individuals and families over the years. Alexis was a woman of strong faith, an avid collector of antiques and a loving mother, grandmother and friend.
Ms. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Reverend Charles C. Thomas, and her daughters Deborah Thomas Chapman and Dorlo Thomas.
She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Thomas Smith, grandson, Eric Gribbon, granddaughters, Charity Mullins and Amber Vlangas and eight great grandchildren.
