CARY, NC-Ernest Julius Ricci, age 88 died on May 29, 2017. Ernest was born on February 7, 1929 in New York State to Julius and Cecelia Schibione Ricci.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son John Joseph Ricci, granddaughter Marcela Ricci as well as two brothers and three sisters.
Ernest married Patricia Turpin on June 25, 1949. His awards and accomplishments are as follows; Grand Knight of Columbus in Carthage, NY, volunteer at Bert Fish Medical Center in New Smyrna Beach, FL, Ad Litem program of Florida Supreme Court, Mentor at New Smyrna Beach Middle School, volunteered for Hospice in FL, attended classes on Child Abuse Investigations and he was a registered EMT with NY State.
He is survived by his wife Patricia of 68 years, son Joseph James Ricci and wife Patricia; two daughters Yolanda Ricci and husband Dr. Jonathan May, Karen Sears and husband Wayne; two sisters Yolanda Skvorak and Jean Trembley; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Burial will be held at a later date at St. James Cemetery in Carthage, NY.
