Kevin D. Simser, 54 of Apex, North Carolina and originally from Carthage NY died Saturday June 17th at home.
Born April 20, 1963 to Rhoda A. Simser he attended Carthage Central School.
In 1986 he married Heidi Mulcahy Hicks which ended in Divorce.
He worked at Champion International Paper until it closed in 2001 when he moved to North Carolina. Kevin then became self-employed owning his own business as a Commercial Builder up until his illness.
He was an avid outdoorsman who really enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and huge fan of North Carolina Tarheels. Kevin is survived by his children Brittany Simser and grandson Hunter, Watertown NY, Johnna (Zach) Zimmerman, Adams Center NY, Ryan Simser, Danilyn Simser, Gryffin Simser & stepson Joey all of Apex NC. His brothers George (Lynn) Simser, Watertown NY, Marc (Amy) Simser, Carthage NY Todd (Lori) Simser, Croghan NY and sisters Robin (Scott) Coutermarsh, Carthage NY, Sharon (Bruce) Ormiston, Palatka FL & Michelle (Michael) Lewis of Selma NC. Many aunts & uncles, nieces and nephews & great nieces and great nephews.
Kevin was predeceased by his mother Rhoda A Simser & stepfather Sherman L Babcock.
There will be a graveside service in North Carolina. A memorial service for family members will be held in Carthage NY at a later date.
“Slimmy” will be missed deeply by his family!
