Mr. Milton E. “Bud” Skiff, age 82 of Potsdam, NY passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at his home while under the care of his family and Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley. Graveside services will be held on July 29, 2017 at 11 am at Beech Plains Cemetery. Contributions in his memory can be made to the United Presbyterian Church of Lisbon @ 26 Church St. Lisbon, NY 13658; Beech Plains Cemetery Association @ 120 Coon Rd. Canton, NY 13617 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley @6805 St. Hwy 11 Potsdam, NY 13676. On line condolences can be sent @www.garnerfh.com. Bud is survived by his wife Elizabeth McNeil Skiff; a son Scott Skiff; daughters Marcia (Haõ) Doan, Laura Judy and Paula Skiff; a brother in law John Lyttle; sister Shirley Murphy; grandchildren Ryan and Jamie Skiff, Annabelle and Chase Judy, and Andra and Thanh Doan. He was predeceased by a sister Beverly Lyttle.

Mr. Milton E. Skiff was born on June 22, 1935 in Cambridge, NY to the late Chester Beatle Skiff and Dorothy Smith. He attended Greenwich, NY schools and was a graduate of Cornell University. He grew up on a family farm and took the farm over for a few years. Then he entered into ministry. His first ministry was in Prestonsburg, KY where he remained a few years. While there he was instrumental in leading the fundraising for a hospital for Prestonsburg. He then came back to the North Country and became the minister for the United Presbyterian Church in Lisbon. He also worked as a clerk at the First National Bank of Lisbon. He eventually took over as the bank president and CEO. He was very fond of the outdoors and loved reading and history.
