William John Lauper (Bill), 74, of Midlothian, passed away on July 21, 2017
surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Lou Lauper, his four children, Brian (Andrea), Mark (Lori), Karen (Jamie), Maureen (Mike) and brother, David Brouse. As an adoring grandfather, he was often seen teasing, tickling, and giggling with his 10 grandchildren; Brooke, Lauren, Makenzy, Aubrey, Kelsey, Patrick, Zane, Colleen, Jameson, and Erin. Bill was born in Watertown, New York to Janet Laidlaw and Theodore Lauper. Bill was predeceased by his parents and brother, Tom Brouse. He graduated from Potsdam High School and continued on to graduate from Clarkson College. He worked as an accountant at Reynolds Metals for 36 years. He enjoyed working in his yard, playing with his grandchildren, watching sports, and doing puzzles. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of The Crossings at Bon Air for the loving and patient care given to Bill over the years. Services will be held on July 31, 2017 at 2pm at St. Edwards Catholic Church at 2700 Dolfield Dr. North Chesterfield, Va. 23235. In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his honor to St Edward’s Catholic Church at the above address.
