Massena: Patricia E. Fee, 91, formerly of Nightengale Ave., passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at St. Regis Nursing Home where she had resided for the past few years. Friends and family may be received on Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 2-4 pm and Friday, August 4, 2017 from 11:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at Phillips Memorial Home in Massena. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 12:00 pm at Sacred Heart Church in Massena with Rev. Michael Jablonski presiding. Interment will be private in North Burke Rural Cemetery.
Pat was born on September 18, 1925 in Burke, NY, the daughter of John A. and Luella (Bush) Fee. She graduated from Malone Franklin Academy in 1944 and then Potsdam State College in 1948. She taught second grade for 33 years at Massena Central School and retired in 1981. Pat enjoyed hiking and was a member of the Adirondack 46er’s Club and also enjoyed snow shoeing and being outdoors. Pat was a member of the Sacred Heart Choir and was very active in the church, where she was a teacher of Altar Servers. She also enjoyed traveling, where her journeys took her all over the country and throughout Europe. She had a special fondness for cats and liked to listen to the Lawrence Welk Show. Pat was a member of the Retired Teachers Association as well as the League of St. Mary’s.
Pat is survived by her cousins, Owen and Myrtle Murray of Altamont, NY, Dr. Garth Murray of Bath, NY, Mrs. Julia Casey of Hudson Falls, NY, Mrs. Leta Lobdell, Nina and DJ Morgan, both of Chateaugay, NY and Glenn and Linda Murray all of Cheyenne, WY. Also surviving are Pat are many other cousins and close friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, a cousin, Craig Murray and many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
