Jo Anne (Howe) Trew, 78, of Liverpool passed away on Tuesday at St. Camillus Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on June 8, 1939 in Carthage, NY a daughter of the late Paul and Dora (Morrow) Howe Golden. As a teenager she moved to the Syracuse area graduating in 1958 from St. Anthony of Padua High School. Jo Anne had resided in Liverpool and was the owner and operator, along with her husband, of Trew Hardware for over 20 years. She retired from National Grid as a control clerk in 2010. She is predeceased by her husband Kenneth J. Trew in 1986, her sister, Jane Swint and brother, Timothy Golden.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Paul K. (Roxanne) Trew of Cicero, Melanie (Ronald) Wilbur of Liverpool and Suzanne (Thomas) Slack of Baldwinsville, grandchildren, Marcus (Jackie), Ashleigh (Mike), Jennifer, Bryan, Kenneth, Jessica, Edward, two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Walker, sister, Gretchen Yaeger of Cicero and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 7, 2017 from 5 to 7 PM at the Maurer Funeral Home Inc. 300 Second St. Liverpool. Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 10:00 am at the funeral home with the Rite of Committal and entombment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, DeWitt.
