Patrick A. Williams

Patrick A. Williams Sr., 77, of Mystic, CT husband of 49 years to Dorothy (Jewell) Williams died Saturday, August 5, 2017 at home surrounded by his family.

Born in Potsdam, NY he was the son of the late Arthur and Martha (Benson) Williams and lived in Mystic since 1995 previously residing in Ledyard.

He was an Electrical Contractor and was owner & operator of A&D Electric for many years retiring in 2013.

In addition to his wife Dot, he leaves his sons, Patrick A. Williams Jr., and his wife, Ann, of Northbridge, MA, Steven Williams of Mystic and Benjamin Williams and his wife, Katie, of Mystic; daughters, Gretchen Williams of Pawcatuck and Tricia Brewster and her husband, Steven, of North Stonington; his sister, Margaret Clary of Calabash, NC; brother, Arthur Williams of Little River, SC; his grandchildren, Nathan, Graham, Cecelia and Holden Williams, Isaac Chase, Chelsea Gocka, and Joshua, Martha and Patrick Brewster. He was predeceased by a grandson, Steven Brewster Jr. and his two brothers, Stanley of Mystic and Robert, of Potsdam, NY; and two sisters, Carolyn Foley of Mystic and Alice Sherman, of Norwood, NY.

Pat was a faithful communicant and Eucharistic Minister of St. Patrick Church in Mystic and a member of the Knights of Columbus Mystic Council 1943 and the Mystic Lions Club. In his earlier years, he enjoyed coaching Little League baseball in Ledyard and the SECT Youth Hockey in New London. He was an avid golfer and a member for over 40 years at Shennecossett Golf Club earning bragging rights of not one, but two, holes in one.

His family will receive friends, Thursday, August, 10th from 4-8 pm at the Mystic Funeral Home located on Route 1 in Mystic. A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, at 10:00 am at St. Patrick Church 32 East Main St. Mystic. Burial will follow with U.S. Navy honors at St. Patrick Cemetery, in Old Mystic.
