Olga Sennett

Olga Marie Taylor Sennett, 91, passed away on August 8, 2017 at Samaritan Summit Village in Watertown, NY where she had been a resident for over three years..

Mrs. Sennett was born on February 25, 1926 in Deferiet, NY, daughter of the late Ambrose W. Taylor and Mary C. Ward Taylor. She attended schools in Deferiet, Carthage and Watertown, NY

Mrs. Sennett was employed by Bagley & Sewall, Taggart Paper Company and lastly at Sacred Heart School as Assistant Food Manager. She married William A. Sennett on September 13, 1947. Mr. Sennett passed away on November 24, 1991.

She is survived by a son Mark W, a daughter-in-law Susan M. of Rochester, NY and three granddaughters, Kaitlyn M. of Buffalo, NY, Rachel L. and Molly E. of Rochester and a granddaughter Quinn Katherine of Buffalo, NY. In addition, she is survived by a brother, James P. Taylor of Palm Harbor, FL; two sisters, Margaret A. Sexton of Palm Harbor, FL, and Katherine L. Doe Johnson and her husband Donald, of Watertown and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by five brothers, Harvey E., John F., Thomas L., William A. and Vernon F. Taylor. A sister Kathleen D. died as an infant in 1934.

She loved working in her garden when she was in good health and enjoying her grandchildren. She was dearly beloved by the care givers and staff at Summit Village, for which the family is very thankful.

Mrs. Sennett was a communicant of Our Lady of Sacred Heart Church in Watertown

NY. A calling hours will be held at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc. of Watertown, NY from 9 - 10AM on Friday, August 11, followed by the funeral mass celebrated at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church on East Lynde Street in Watertown at 11AM with Rev. Jonas Tandayu, MSC, pastor, presiding. Burial will be in North Watertown Cemetery.
