Arlene T. Dana 87, North Rose, NY and formally from Ellisburg died Sunday, August 6th at the Wayne County Nursing Home.
Funeral service will be held at Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home 7883 Rt. 289, Belleville, NY at 2:00 pm, Friday August 18th with a burial to follow the service in the Ellisburg Cemetery.
She was born on September 5, 1929 at her family home in Ellisburg, the daughter of Percy and Leila Noble Tifft.
Arlene graduated from Belleville Central School in 1947. She worked for Upstate Telephone in Adams for about 7 years then went to work for GE in Syracuse as a switchboard operator retiring in 1989 after 33 years of service.
Arlene married Lloyd Dana on October 31, 1948, Mr. Dana died December 22, 1989.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law; Jean Dana and her significant other Ron Stonewell, Henrietta; 2 granddaughters, Stephanie Dana, CA; Ashley Dana, Rochester and nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents Arlene was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd, her son Dale, a brother Edward Tifft, a sister Maxine Snyder and a nephew Jamie Tifft.
