pWatertown- The funeral for Donald J. Niblett will be 10:00 am Saturday, January 23rd at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Watertown. Spring burial with military honors will be held in Evergreen Cemetery, Town of Henderson. Calling hours will be at the funeral home Friday, January 22nd, from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm /ppDonald passed away Wednesday, January 20th at Hospice of Jefferson County where he had resided since September. He was 82 years old./ppBorn December 2, 1933, in Watertown, a son to Randolph and Audrey Smith Niblett. Donald served in the United States Army during the Korean and Vietnam Wars from 1954-1967. He later went to work for the New York Air Break and retired from there as a machinist. /ppDonald married Elsie Winifred Card June 20, 1963 at the First Presbyterian Church, Watertown./ppMr. Niblett is survived by his wife of 52 years, Elsie Niblett, his daughter, Judy (Robert) Moore, Adams Center; two sons, Michael (Gloria) Simmons, Watertown; Donald Niblett, Jr., California; six grandchildren, Danny Pierce, Sarah Orr, Kaitlin Balistrer, Raymond Graffin, Melissa Graffin and Jenny LaVancha, several great grandchildren./ppDonald was an avid fisherman, enjoyed watching cooking shows, the NFL New York Giants games and doing circle word puzzles.
