Dr. Edmund T. Zysik, Sr., 89, formerly of Massena, passed away February 14, 2018 in Tucson, AZ surrounded by his family. Edmund was born in Detroit, MI on October 7, 1928 to Teofil and Sophie (Sleak) Zysik. He attended and graduated from Hartwick College followed by Georgetown University with a DDS Degree. He practiced general dentistry in the US Army prior to moving to and practicing in Massena. He later attended Buffalo University obtaining a specialty in orthodontics. He returned to Massena to establish his orthodontic practice. Ed treasured time spent with his family. He especially enjoyed summers in Long Lake, NY.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marjorie Jean, a daughter, Karen (Tom) Freidhof of Lewiston, NY, four sons, Edmund Jr. (Kathy) of Massena, NY, David (Debbie) of Massena, NY, Jeffrey of Alexandria, VA, and Michael (Julie) of Perrysburg, OH, along with 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Ed was predeceased by a brother, Arthur, and a sister, Virginia.
