Homer A. Coller

pHomer Alanson Coller, age 81, originally of Colton, NY passed away in La Porte TX on April 16, 2016. Homer was born in in DeKalb NY on January 24th, 1935 and lived most of his life within St. Lawrence County, NY. /ppHomer was married to Eva (Judy) Rodwell on July 4th, 1954; they were married 54 years./ppHomer worked several type jobs as a young man from a logger, highway laborer and on the Seaway project in Massena before settling in as a milk intake specialist for Kraft Foods in Canton NY for 28 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and canoe trips in the Adirondacks. He loved serving in the Church of the Nazarene, Potsdam NY where he touched many people with his stories and warm friendship./ppHomer is survived by children, Richard Coller with his wife Marilyn in La Porte TX, Susan Matheny in High Point NC, Randy Coller in Potsdam NY and Joanne Coller in Norwood NY. Homer had four grandchildren; Erica Weems (husband Chris) and their children, Abbie and Mickenzie; Julia Saunder (husband Nick); Lauralee Sparling (husband Tim) and Margie Matheny. He is also survived by one sister, Joan McDonald (with husband Alan) in Canton NY. Homer also had many nieces, nephews and other family and friends./ppHomer is preceded in death by his wife Judy Rodwell, father Homer, mother Carrie Cramer, sister Doris Vaughan and brother Everett./ppThere will be no funeral or calling hours. A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family./ppIf any wish to make a memorial donation, it may be given to Potsdam Church of the Nazarene or the Pierrepoint Volunteer Fire Dept. The family of Homer wishes to thank the Forrest Home Church of the Nazarene, Jonesboro AR for friendship and support. /p
