Freda Menard Gladle

pFreda Menard Gladle of 1810 Ford Street, Ogdensburg, NY, passed away on January 24, 2016 at approximately 7:45AM, where she was staying at the Vermont Respite House in Williston, Vermont./ppShe was welcomed into this world in Ogdensburg on October 10, 1934 by parents Emmett and Lila Bresett Menard and brother Charles. She is survived by daughters Karen Gladle (Ogdensburg,) Andrea Dority and husband Gary (North Carolina;) grandchildren Nathan Gladle (Ogdensburg,) Jacob Friot (North Carolina,) Sammantha Kelley (North Carolina;) and great grandchildren Cole and Riley Kelley (North Carolina.) She is predeceased by her parents, brother Charles, nephews David and Donald Menard, stepfather Jodie Van Cleave, and husband Myron Gladle Jr./ppFreda attended local schools, and took classes at SUNY Canton and Mater Dei College. She retired 1990 from St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center in Ogdensburg. She often volunteered in community programs. For thirteen years she was elected chairman of the advisory board for the Ogdensburg Neighborhood Center. /ppFreda was a well known international medium, clairvoyant, psychic and energetic healer, author, and teacher of metaphysics. In 1978 she was credentialed and registered as a Reverend in the Spiritual Advisory Council and Church. In 1993 she opened up the North Country to the metaphysical world, teaching and sharing her experiences and abilities through a group that met monthly in Canton, and continues now in Massena. She was founder and editor of Metaphysically Speaking Newsletter./ppFreda taught that “We do not die. Life continues in a different dimension. She will be waiting others’ return, to assist with their transition to the Spirit World, until we meet again, and we shall.”/ppFreda donated her body to the University of Vermont Medical Center. A service will be held at a later time, at the Spiritualist Church in Malone, NY.
