The funeral service for Reginald D. Jones (Dave) will be held at 1 pm on Monday, November 12th at Reed & Benoit Funeral Home. Calling hours will be prior to the service from 11 am – 1 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Grove Cemetery, Lafargeville.
Reginald passed away peacefully at Hospice of Jefferson County on Monday, November 5th. He was 83 years old.
Born October 29, 1935 a son to Reginald and Mary Hutton Jones. He married Mary O’Riley on September 18, 1954 in the Hope Presbyterian Church, Watertown.
Reginald worked for 35 years at Black & Clawson, Watertown as a machinist. He also served in the Naval Reserves from 1952-1960.
He enjoyed hunting, but most of all, the time he spent with his family was his greatest joy.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, 6 sons, Michael (Karen), England; Mark, Watertown; Stephen (Joyce), Groton; Stuart (Deborah), Dexter; Dale (Susan), Watertown; Daniel, Watertown; a brother, John, 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he is predeceased by his 3 brothers, Robert, Paul, and Donald, and a sister Thelma Cheever.
