Louisville: Jason P. Cole, 46, passed away on Monday evening, November 12, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Friends and family may be received on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Phillips Memorial Home in Massena. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Church with burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Jason was born on March 4, 1972 in Massena as the loving son of Ronald and Margaret (Palmer) Cole. He graduated from Massena Central High in 1990, while in High School Jason attended BOCES and studied electrical trades. Upon graduating Jason worked a series of various technical and mechanical work leading to him becoming a Journeyman Electrician. He worked with IBEW Local Union 910 from 2000 until 2006, then started his career at ALCOA in both the Fabrication Maintenance and then the Smelting Department as an electrician.

It all began with just a simple kiss, Jason married his only love Kristie Desgrosiellier on August 18, 2007 at St. Mary’s Church, Massena, to seal their love of 31 years. Their enduring, timeless love is the result of when two people fall in love.

Jason enjoyed a variety of activities to include hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles. He enjoyed the time spent at his hunting camp in Churubusco NY that he built with his beloved Father. He also enjoyed doing mechanical work, but most importantly enjoyed the time spent with his family - which meant everything to him. His homemade bar, called the “Milk Can” became the center of gathering for those he loved - his family and his friends.

Jason is survived by his loving wife, Kristie, his mother Margaret of Massena, two children, Jessielee Cole of Massena, Jace Cole of Massena, an older brother Jeff and wife Tamra of Castleton, VA, and his best-friend and soldier during his cancer fight, cousin Mike Gagner of Massena, nephew, Ethan Cole, a brother and sister in-law, Rosario and Renee Desgrosiellier and their son Brayden. Many Aunts, Uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his beloved, Father and other family members. There has been no greater a man, no greater a love, than what Jason brought to his family and his friends....all because, it began with just a simple kiss.

Memorial contributions may be made to Spud Run Fund of Massena, NY - which benefits and supports local cancer patients and their families c/o Penny O’Brien, 895 Buckton Road, Winthrop, NY 13697.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Phillips Memorial Home in Massena.

Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.PhillipsMemorial.com
