pBoonville- Stanley H. Myers, 92, of the East Road passed away on April 23, 2016 at Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center surrounded by his family./ppHe was born in Florence, N.Y. on March 30, 1924, a son of Charles and Bertha Teachout Myers. He moved to Vienna and then to Webster Hill where he attended Boonville High School until 1940. He married Betty Newvine on October 27, 1951 at St. Martin’s Church, Port Leyden. He then operated various farms in the area and purchased his in-laws farm on the East Road in June of 1955. Stanley continued to work the farm until one week before his death. Some of the side jobs Stanley did were crop harvesting for farmers, delivering sawdust, filling silos, cutting wood, spraying crops and trucking for Agway. He was very well-known for his sweet corn which he sold for over 40 years. Farming and family were Stanley’s life./pp He is survived by his wife of over 64 years, Betty; sons, Frederick, Roger and wife Donna, Randy, Mickey and Kelly, all of Boonville and Bruce, Port Leyden; one daughter Maryann and Mike Karpinski, Boonville; one sister, Helen Kohl, Boonville; grandchildren, Jake Myers, Jessica and Jason Bristol, Devin Goodhines, Randy Jr., Brandon and Kyle Myers, Lacey and Dalton Schultz, Kenzie and Kaden Karpinski, Marcos, Zachary and Billy Myers. Also surviving are several nephews and a niece and one sister-in-law, Jane Myers, Boonville. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers, Jesse, Martin, Albert Myers and a nephew. /ppIn keeping with Stanley’s wishes there will be no funeral service or calling hours.
